Also, I gotta say... I'm not sure there's any good reason to do this even for the radio voice, since it's the only voice acting you hear besides grunts for most of the game. If the game wasn't already finished, I would have seriously suggested that they not do this, since it makes the game feel cheaply made. Just do a normal voiceover and then modify it so it sounds robotic, there's a big difference.
But I'm just ranting...
Again, it's the only voice acting you here for most of the game, and then it's made even worse by the spam of TTS in the Pets DLC. They really shouldn't have done this, it seriously harms the game's presentation. I'm surprised there wasn't more pushback on this by the community at the time.
It also doesn't have enough contrast with the rest of the voice acting because... well, not trying to be mean, but the regular voice acting isn't very good (that's why I thought it might be an AI voice). That can be a good thing, though! Bad voice acting can have comedic value, TTS is just boring.
As for the opinions on all the other voices, well I never had a problem with your point of view in the first place. It's valid, and I understand where it's coming from; especially about the Pets DLC. Not only is the statue excessive at times, but I can't even use the house cats because their attack sounds are overkill.
It's not a big deal, though, you guys are right. It bothered me more at the start of the game, but by the end I was more concerned about all the stuff I had to Google. The story is at least interesting, open worlds usually don't try that hard with it.
