[Phoenix-Mask]

I think the Laser Sword from the Doomsday DLC is a really nice idea. Just kinda doesn't make sense that it is unable to damage hard objects and can't hit several targets at once

It would be totally OP if it could. It is 100 damage when maxed if I remember right. Having the Power Fist breaks the game at the point you get it - you can get this item earlier.

It can hit some larger objects due to having a different damage type (fire) so there is some utility, but as the poster above mentioned, it would be too OP. Not to mention, if you look at SW episode 1 (not that it has any real connection to the laser sword, mind you), in the beginning they use their sabers to go through some pretty thick doors and that takes time so there is an extent to what a sword of that size can accomplish.

Isn't the game mostly over by the time you get the fist?

Well i kinda hoped to get a good destructive tool before the end of the game. Well at least at max the sword works better against trees then the axe

Not if you save all the DLC for last. Not to memtion completing everything for 100%.

saveing especially doomsday for last is silly behavoir. youll make it harder for yourself and also make a no death run 100 times harder aswell. plus you can get the light saber with only killing 3 bosses. which are alll 3 stupid easy.

Not sure if I would start a fresh game like that (maybe) but that is exactly how I plan to play my NG++.
