Can't get to large area in Crown

So there's a large area to the right of Crown which I can't seem to get to, going off the ledges all lead to death. There is a campfire there so I know it's reachable but I must be missing a ledge or pathway to take me down to it. I'm stuck at 76% completion in Crown and I know the other 24% has to be down there. How do I get there?

There is a drone that takes you there. It is a new area that was added recently. Just look for a helipad type thing. (Cant give you coordinates, I am on new game plus and have not reached it again yet.)

I think you're talking about the Doomsday area, I have the DLC and took the drone there already. I'm talking about an area in the middle of the main island, just east of where the Crown facility is.

The new DLC2 has a helipad on the southern coast which is used to reach that whole thing. But there is also a helipad in Crown, somewhat before the escape pod. The helipad has always been there, but a drone to take you a little east on the main island was only recently added. So from the last campfire before the escape pod, go backwards and look for the large H in a circle (it is visible on the map).
Warning: that new area has a lot of turrets and places to fall into the water. The new rubber duck trinket can help with the water.

I found it. I've been through there a dozen times but never thought to go back to the helipad, I'm sure I would have stumbled upon it eventually but you saved me a ton of time. And you're right, the turrets are pretty crazy there. Going to give it a go in the morning.
