You are right, changing the hair stile would really help with this.
But in all honestly, I dont think we need character creation. It would not make any change at all. IF you want to tell a story, it usualy is easyer if you have fixed characters.
Most games that let you make a character are
1. You are not even part of it and just go allong with the NPCs, like many MMOs or 2. your character is 99% meaningless anyway, as in there are like
2 choices that CAN be different, other than that the game just threats you like a generic place holder anyway.
Character creation is only needed for games where you interact with other people or rolleplay as yourself/an alter ego...
or, if it comes with limitations, as in just some things to chose from. It can change your stats/Perks...
