It was very usefull for me, I miss some POIs...
I gotta say man, some of those treasures, there was NO way to find them without your guide. First of all the map is enormous and you're looking for a single tiny spot, secondly although it's mostly pretty obvious where to look, sometimes there was 0 indication that a treasure was there. Even with the guide I had to dig around a couple of times - it was that hidden.
Maybe a metal detector trinket would be a good idea.
The Underworld DLC adds short-range dig-spot detection as a passive skill (always enabled if you choose it when you level up).
Ah I didn't know that. Still, how long is short range? Treasures are scattered across a huge map in the main game, and you would really have to run around everywhere.
I would suggest some sort of rangeless indication. To make it less OP it could just be that there's a machine that takes some time to scan, perhaps, and tells you the exact position of the next treasure to hunt for.
It could even be a link tower upgrade, maybe if you advance an area to max ascension.
@ Devs, I know at least a game where once you have "cleared" an area, all the POIs of that area are shown on the map.
Maybe more than that DLC perk, a towers upgrade under some conditions, that will show on the map the undiscovered POIs... You will have to manually activate the upgrade, so the choice will be yours.
Yep but there are a few that have 0 hints. Like it's just some rock, and the treasure is next to it. Hard to tell though if there were any cues and I dysmantled them :s
