Is opening the mana rifts worth it?

Hey folks,

Just got the mana rift repair kit and spent another mana chunk to open the rift in the lab in Solaris.

It took me to a hill top with a boat. I didn't see any loot or obvious dig spots. Seemed pretty pointless.

Are these rifts worth opening if I'm not going for a 100% completion in the game?

short answer no, there is one rift that is the only way to access a tomb, other than that, they all have at least a dig spot, the boat does have one

Nope, rifts are for you to farm more.
There is 1 rift you have to open to enter a closed gate, it has some interesting stuff

1 of them is required to progress the story. If you aren't going for 100% completion, the rest are all superfluous.
