Weapon ideas!
Yes I know theres a suggestion mega thread but this was too big to be a comment. Some are more practical, while others are just fun. Not including a sledgehammer as it is already confirmed in the next update.

MELEE

- Chainsaw: Does fast rapid damage to ex humans and 100% bonus damage to trees and wood items. Cant destroy metal (obviously). Implementation could be m1 is a swing that uses no charges and is only for fighting zombies and m1 (hold) makes you rev it up infront of you and tear through hordes, trees, wood walls, etc. Because I feel breaking down houses right now with the axe is a little slugish. Limited charges for the hold ability that get replenished at a campfire.

- Claymore: Just a really big sword which is low but does a lot of damage

- Spear: Does damage at longer ranges.

- Double Bit Axe: Same as the regular axe, but m1 (hold) does a spin attack ala Dying Light

- Barbed Baseball Bat: Like the baseball bat with knockdown, but does piercing damage too. Make it so it cant break metal or hard wood, so in a similar use of the katana as its main use is ex human killing. Long live Negan!

- Knife: Does less damage then the machete but 10% boost to running speed because everyone knows you run faster with a knife.

- Balisong: Same as the knife but with 100% bonus backstab and crit damage. Butterfly Knife for those non knife normies. 100% bonus to style too.

- Shishkebab: A flaming katana when it hits enemies lights them on fire. Yes this is a reference to a Fallout weapon by the same name.

- Golden Crowbar: 1 hits everything in the game. Unlocked after all in game trophies are complete or something idk. Would be extra cool if it was called "Freeman" as a reference to the OG crowbar wielding gaming icon.

- Pencil: "I once saw him kill three men in a bar... with a pencil, with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pencil." -Viggo, John Wick 2014. So obviously pencils must be effective killing tools. 100% damage boost to enemy ear holes.

- Giant Purple Dildo: Aw ♥♥♥♥, here we go again.

THROWABLE AND EXPLOSIVE

- Breaching charge: Place it on a wall to blow up the wall and the eviroment around it with ease. Can damage ex humans caught in the blast.

- Throwing Axes: Like Knives but twice the damage and half the ammo count.

- Mantis Blade: A blade attatched to your forearm. The reason why I put it in throwables is because its intended to be used as a melee while wielding a firearm for those ex humans who get too close. Infinite uses. Because it is literally just the machete in the secondary slot without a charge attack.

- Holy Hand Grenade: Super charged grenade but you have to count to 3 before you can throw it.

- Pedro: A banana peel when thrown on the ground makes whoever walks on it slip and die instantly. 1 use obviously and you need to peel it first. Works on yourself if you're dumb enough.

FIREARMS

- Bow: An oldschool bow and arrow for high ranged damage unlocked early in the inventions.

-Compound bow: A better version of the bow found as maybe a quest reward in a late game area (like the mountains).

- Shotgun: Idealy similar to the triple knives with m1 firing a spread of shots, and m1 (hold) firing a tighter spread. 8 Shots max

- Double Barrel Boomstick: High damage, tight spread, but low ammo version of the shotgun. m1 fires one shot, m1 (hold) fires both shots at the same time. So 2 shots max

- Pistol: Standard pistol found early on in the invention tree. Decent to super effective with upgrades at taking out basic ex humans but without enough shots to take on big guys or bosses. 12 shots max.

- "Broken" Pistol: A pistol that's a quest reward as early as the first game area, but requires all its (very expensive) upgrades to work. Once fully upgraded it converts to a Desert Eagle for the most single shot damage in the game. 1-3 shots max for balance reasons.

- Revolver: High power version of the pistol with less shots. m1 could be rapid slam fire cowboy style while m1 (hold) could be a double action shot for precision and more damage. 6 shots max. Found maybe in the desert would be awesome.

- Silenced Pistol: A quest item which is the exact same as the regular pistol, but completely silent and doesnt alert ex humans. Would be nice if knives could be changed too to function the same but with less damage and as a throwable.

- Grenade launcher: For destroying walls and bosses alike. Late game weapon for easy destuction of concrete walls and big bois. Max 6 shots.

- Polish Pistol: Backwards revolver that shoots the user

It is a very extensive list! Some of these weapons have been discussed internally and some on the list are already going to be in the game at some point. Sadly there are not going to be huge additions to weapon pool in Early Access, at most probably 5~ more weapons and even that is a only a rough estimate and should be taken as one. Post launch, who can say.

I am so hyped! Love this game btw, I bought it less then a week ago and already 24 hours in and at the current level cap.

Its so nice to see you care about every discussion thread and I can't wait for more updates! Love the new jungle area btw :)
