Farmable rubber

Where is the items that drop rubber at late game? I have level 22, I have upgraded all my equipment to close to the max. But I am stuck endless looking for rubber. I have unlocked up to the axe and managed to upgrade it to +3.

Al this point I am clear cutting zones and leveling all buildings but I am getting no more rubber. I have used all the rubber from the tires, large and small. Broken all the washing machines and dumpsters.

Once you get the baseball bat and can upgrade it you have endless iron and steel. At this point I have 500+ Iron and 100+ Steel even close to 100 Electronics after upgrades. And still no easy way to get rubber.

Right now the only way to get rubber is to find the right type of mob that is close to a camp and hope RNG is in my favor. This feels horribly broken for a game that's core is to break items down to craft with.

What am I missing?

Wells can get you some too - best i got was 18 at once.
Another way - timed chests.
Also Large Wire Spool give rubber.
Tho keep exploring futher. I destroyed everything there was and I have over almost 300 rubber. Be patience my friend.

Rubber is easy to get, just not at first due to demand of its use. I now have about 150 and still have a ton of junk that I can harvest for it, but don't bother with. It is spice that is hard to come by, before 0.6.6 come out I had zero spice and 1/2 the wishing wells kept asking for it.

Just keep looking at the map to find unexplored areas. There is way more rubber out there than you need, just have to stop tearing everything in sight apart (no matter how fun and addictive it is...) and actually explore more. :) Even before this update it was easily possible to get all the rubber for all current crafting and upgrades just from static item destruction without depending on mob drops, wishing wells, or digging spots.

I will mention that if you aren't panning the camera around to be sure it is SUPER easy to miss stuff behind walls and trees. I don't often move the camera myself but when I do I almost always find stuff I missed.

I think you are missing the point. i asked that item makes it farm-able. The game play loop is reach a certain level and tool upgrade level and a resource becomes trivial to get. For example get the baseball bat up to around level +3 and iron becomes trivial. Get the axe and wood planks becomes trivial.

Are we stuck waiting for the sledge hammer to break cars for rubber to be come trivial?

For me, I farm my rubber from the Metal Wheelie Bin and Wire Spool. I also got some through the wishing well. I still have about 250 now after fully upgrading all my equipment. Wheelie Bin is plentiful around the map but to farm it takes lots of hitting and time.

Both of those examples are a lower rarity tier than the rubber resource. However rubber DOES become trivial to get in relation to it's need to use, and by a huge margin. I have more rubber than any other blue rarity resource other than steel. It's out there, you just can't stay in one area long enough to dismantle everything in sight and expect as much rubber as the other lower rarity resources. Continue exploring new ares, there is way more than you will need. Come back when tools are finished and breaking everything is faster, even the stuff you can already break.
