i thought the game cloud synced?

hey guys. previously 2 months ago with the desert update i played the the game last time and i was at max lvl and had about 44h, this was on Linux Mint using proton. now i just started up the game in Fedora 34 with steam proton and i have no save file. what gives?

I don't know about Linux, but you can see if Steam has any by going to:
https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage
(then download the files). (I didn't see a way to get there from the Steam installed client; I had to first login to Steam use a web browser, then go there directly. But it looks like if you're in the Steam client, you can just follow the link to go there without have to login again.)

well, whatever you call syncing the save files with the steam servers. thought it was standard practice.
