Sword stuck in ground

What's with the sword/katana stuck by the lake south of Lawrence Farm? He say something about a warrior grave but nothing is there when I dig.

A sword in/near a lake screams Excalibur to me. Could be wrong though.

When you fish in the lake that it's next to you don't get fish but things like rice, mushrooms, meat and hides, oddly enough. Don't see how that ties into Excalibur?

it probably is meant as a reference to the joke about 2 peopel fishing and getting various household implements and then one yelling to the other "lets run I think someone lives down there" as in, your hooking the lady of the lakes cabinet empty XD

Well, it can be a reference to the "Dragonslayer Sword" of Guts from Berserk(manga). Sword which is stuck on the ground has the same texture.
