Online Coop
This game is crying out for online coop. It would be perfect playing with Steam friends, exploring, looting and crafting.

I'd prefer it not. Having co-op as a focus tends to detract from creating a stellar single player experience.

It's been a long time since I've found a fun survival game that can be played solo without unnecessary grind or design decisions that are blatantly designed with the expectation that multiple people would be participating. Not saying it couldn't be done but I like what Dysmantle is right now and would rather not have the design focus change to accommodate.

Plenty of other games in similar veins that already exist for that type of thing. Though probably not as good as Dysmantle.

It literally has coop already the only extra thing would be to include online connectivity. No gameplay differences in the way coop has already been designed necessary.

I'm not big on co-op but I agree with this statement. The framework is already there and the game already has co-op. It wouldn't take much for them to enable online because of that. However, I believe that the devs said that it would in fact be too much work with this engine and the progress that they have already made on the game. It would essentially require re-writing a lot of code that is already done and working for what they offer. Therefore, they said that maybe in their next game but not this one. Sorry for the bad news.

Wrong. There are literally HUNDREDS of single player survival games, but there are VERY FEW coop survival games. We need more coop games.

Dunno the most known ones are all online coop games, or have to option for split screen coop or same screen couch coop aka you can use remoteplay for both of those.

This game is only missing separate screen coop, everything else is there, you can play the game with friends online, or offline couch coop.

Steam remoteplay, your friend doesn't need to buy the game.
Separate co-op you need to buy a separate game.

Yeah there's no netcode in the engine, so two game clients have no way of talking to each other and nothing about the game was designed to support remote synchronization. Steam Remote Play gets around this by streaming video to the second player and feeding their inputs back to the first player as if another controller was plugged in.
