Please help. No audio.
Cant find a way to actually contact their support. I've reinstalled multiple times and no audio at all at any point in the game.

Have you plugged your speakers in and switched them on?
Click on the speaker icon in your taskbar and make sure you've selected the right output.
Is the volume level in the game turned up?

Seriously, check all the basics as it's unlikely to be a game issue. Other than that, you'll need to supply a lot more information on what soundcard and speaker set up you have and what sound format you use.

You'll get support here from the devs, but a faster way would be to post on the discord page https://discord.gg/JsksWu2YQH
@Omensinger I have the same issue. Monitor is getting sound from system and other games like dead island, Minecraft, metro2023 , ksp, state of decat 1 and 2 and 7DtD. But dysmantle is giving no sound whatsoever.

Way to necrobump a dead old thread.

For any that eventually end up here; "Verify integrity of game files" fixes the issue, which seems to happen regularly now.
Same thing happening to me. I have to verify every time I open the game

Are you able to change to the "beta" branch? This is accomplished via right-clicking a game in Steam Library, choosing Properties -> Betas -> Choosing "beta" from the drop-down menu. Close the window and wait for the game to download new files.

It does not. I have verified my files 3 times now and there are no file issues causing this, in fact verification has not once found any issues - it just verifies all files and, other than sound not working at all, the game works just fine. It's something else.

********POSSIBLE SOLUTION**************

Browse to your Dysmantle install directory via Steam.

Find the prog.xml file.

Open up the prog.xml file using edit - just right click and select edit.

Scroll down and find the line that says:

features="_FORCE_ALT_SOUND_IMP,STEAM,DISCORD_BUTTON,....

DELETE the first underscore to make that line read:

features="FORCE_ALT_SOUND_IMP,STEAM,DISCORD_BUTTON,....

then save the file.

Run the game.
