Bug
So I was going east for a mission (very east) which is a hot zone - I traveled through the night and got quite far, I reached a campfire and slept till morning - woke up and the heat meter started rising dramatically, killing me at the end.
Sad part is that I respawn close to the campfire far east and by no means I am able to go back to a colder zone in time.

You have to craft hat , trinket...look what's offer heat protection

In this instance you could try to navigate your way back to an earlier campfire by running and try to use that new spawn to get back to the link tower, from which you could fast travel out. Those areas are meant to be navigated after crafting heat resistance items.

Hi, yes I knew that, but this is a game design "bug", as you should not be able to venture so far without the proper equipment if you can then find yourself unable to get back to the nearest link tower.
Cheers

Perhaps players should respawn at their original shelter if death came from temperature.

Or perhaps players should stop and ask why are so many trinkets ...clothes hats, and why's that cold/heat bar is filling up...what should i do to prevent that ?

There is a difference between punishing a player for bad decisions by penalizing him, in contrast to forcing him to start this kind of longish game from scratch.

in case you haven`t 'stopped and asked why', the topic is about situation where game progress is locked out.

Maybe sleep till night and then get out while the temperature is still moderate?

I had the cooling trinket but not the hat - what I am saying is that, under a game design perspective, you should not allow a player to venture so far if you miss an essential piece of gear. I agree that I could wait the night to go back, but it is not an optimal choice if you aim to deliver a nice&friendly gaming experience (I lost 30 mins trying to go back).
