how do i get the cannon dudes to shoot

i can freeze them but hold down the trigger button but I can't make them shoot like I'm seeing in walkthroughs. the only way I can get them to shoot is if quill is in line of sight. I'm playing on oculus quest 2.

I know with the Index Knuckles you have to push the joystick of the opposite controller that is used to control Quill forward,

Yes, hold the righthand trigger and 'grip' the enemy crab, then orient them as you wish with the righthand joystick, and then push down on the RH joystick to fire. Later on you can fire yourself, which also is complex: Hold down the 'B' or fire button til she holds up her sword, then hold your 'hand' over the sword and press the trigger, then B again to fire.

Wow, this is pretty hard. I am playing on a Quest 2/Pro and at least on the 2 aiming is completely random. You aim the crab, but it will turn randomly when you push the joystick. Haven't tried with the Pro yet.
