Quill keeps moving even when no input is given
Playing on the Vive, and once I've started Quill moving, she always moves towards the back of the area even if there's no input. It makes sections like the water platforms in the deer area very very frustrating.

I've seen other people report that problem and the devs say they are investigating it. I haven't had that problem (yet), though.
What happens if you power off your controllers, then turn them back on?

Thanks for posting, you are not alone. We're both actively investigating this issue as well as working on documenting a couple steps to try and help. For example, it is possible to get in this state on my Vive controllers if I have my thumb on the pad while I am turning the controller on. This may be something that controller calibration can help with. We will post again when we know more.

Thank you for the feedback.

Will try leaden sky's suggestion tonight, and disconnecting my Xbox pad and hotas before firing things up, though I don't get cross controller input issues with other games.

Just wanted to add that the game is absolutely charming, and a great use of VR as a medium

Tried to restart and making sure not to touch the thumb pad on my HTC Vive. Quill still wanders once I move her. Was working great yesterday morning after I downloaded it. Just updating. I'll also check if there's any controller updates. Will keep an eye out for any fixes or other suggestions. :-) Thanks for looking into this Tam.

Update: Recalibrated the controllers to no avail.
Restarted the chapter to check.
Quill will turn and walk to the left of the screen from any direction she was traveling.

Got that problem too while streaming today. It stopped when I was wiping over the controller with my shirt, but startet again in the moment I touched to controller. In the first moment I thought it there was sweat on the controller so it got some form of light input but after checking it 5 times, there defenetly was none. Restarting the game resulted in the same problem but Quill was walking in a slighlty different angle. Didn't had the problem when I was first playing the game :s

Unpluged my xbox controller and hotas, and Quill behaves. Now if only the Vive controller wasn't so useless as a controller rather than a virtual hand. :(

Unplugging my xbox controller fixed it indeed. Not really a solution though, because the way I like playing the game the most is by using the thumbstick on the xbox controller and using the vive controller to grab stuff, jump and attack. The way I play now, I have to really be careful always to aim at a wall or something and keep Quill running that way, when I'm looking around, just to make sure she doesn't fall into anything.

I sadly ended up refunding at least until the knuckles controllers with their little thumbstick comes out, because it was too frustrating to play with the vive wands :(

Did you collect the alcohol item, his drunk. lol

Still no update? I absolutely love the game, but refunded it till controls get fixed (either adding support for WMR's thumbsticks or fixing trackpad controlls - pressing a trackpad instead of just touching).

I'll buy the game again once this gets fixed.

I'm not quite sure I understand what you are saying... but WMR controllers have both touchpad and joystick. Both work well.

As for touchpad controls in MOSS- while joystick support would be preferred for controllers that have it, even touchpad movement would be acceptable, if it would require you to actually press the touchpad before Quill would start moving. As it is, it's too sensitive, making you nervous to start moving because you are afraid you'll accidentally move Quill over the edge. It's cumbersome and I'm really surprised it's taking devs this long to give us at least an option to choose between touching-only vs. pressing for movement.

It would be okay if there was a velocity check before falling off the edge - i.e. if walking, just wobble, but don't fall, so that you have to move like you mean it to go over the edge.

Hi all!
I downloaded this game yesterday and i have this problem also. I'm on Lenovo and also had my Logitech gamepad when I noticed this. Gonna try tonight again with the Logitech unplugged.

Nice game tho :-).

Same problem, character always wanders when nothing is being pressed, tried everything to fix it. Using the Valve Index controllers. I've had to refund as it makes a platform game unplayable.

@tam_polyarc Unplugging my Xbox controller works for me too. I wonder if deleting the game pad joystick inputs from the project settings for the windows build would fix this for PC users?
