The jump button (right hemi-circle of the right hand trackpad on Vive) is used both to climb up and climb down. The way that you indicate a climb down is to provide move input away (left trackpad on Vive) from the ledge and press jump. This should tell Quill to jump down.
Please let me know if this is helpful.
That little rodent only tried to move up. When i went back to the left(if we are talking of that little puzzle early on in the game where you have to move the block to the left and she would jump down on it) and tried it it worked. I then grabbed the ledge once more and moved Quill to the right it worked fine.
It would be nice if i could use the Thumbsticks on WMR for the movement though. I guess this will be patched in at a later point :)
Edit:
That is the part(at 7:33):

Press and hold 'down' on the movement controller and at the same time press 'jump' on the action controller in order to 'jump down'.
Hope that helps someone else.
