Cheat codes!

Hey everyone!

I seem to have found cheat codes in game. Here's how to use them:

1) Press "~" button on keyboard to open the console
2) Write: EnableCheats Bastard
3) Now you have access to all cheats :)

NOTE: When you start writing, the console will do its best to try to guide you to writing the correct commands.
It's also very important to note that some of these are definitely case-sensitive, so make sure you write carefully!

Also, it looks like if you press the question mark to the right of the text input line, the console will show you ALL the possible commands. There's ome really fun stuff there!

Anyway, here are the most important cheats in my opinion:

GODMODE
This will make Guy invincible, but you can still get arrested. This cheat may turn off after some time, it's most likely connected with saving the game or ending a quest but I can't be sure.

BFG
Gives you an auto-crossbow with 10'000 ammo - without reloading!

SetMoney 5000
Will set your current money to the specified value.

SetHealth 100 100
Adds the specified amount of HP and armor to whatever amount you currently have. First value is HP, second is armor.

GiveAllWeapons
Will give you all the weapons (crossbows will each have 100 ammo, still need to reload)

AddWeapon weaponname (ex. Sword, Spear, Scythe)
Gives you the specified weapon. NOTE: Case-sensitive!
Also, for crossbows or thrown weapons you need to specify the desired number of ammo you want to get, e.g. AddWeapon AutoCrossbow 50

EndCurrentQuest
Ends whatever quest you are currently doing. From what I've noticed, you will NOT receive the money reward, but you will receive skill points for completing the quest.

AddShield
Gives you a shield.

SetStars 0
Sets your current chase level to the specified number. Range is 0-5, anything above that will set it to 5.

AddSkillPoints 200
Gives you the specified amount of skill points (200 skill points will be enough to buy all skills)

SlowMotion 0.5
Slow down and speed up time. For example, 0.5 listed here will make the game two times slower; 2 will make the game two times faster

SUICIDE
Kills Guy immediately, won't work with Godmode enabled.

Spawn Horse
Will spawn a random horse next to Guy.

SetPlayerHorseType
Sets the type of horse to the one specified. This only works when your are mounted and doesn't seem to affect carts. If you write the command only, the console will show you all the possible horse types below the text input line.

Hi there! No, you don't have to modify any files in order to open the console. Are you using a standard QWERTY keyboard? Does console under "~" works properly for you in other games?

using QWERTZ Keyboard aka different language (German) i tried all other keys even with Shift Alt or Ctrl and none work

Hi, not an ideal solution but you can set your keyboard language to English-US, then pressing ~ (so the button next to "1" above the letters) works.

@Earl Grey: Of course it would be cool if we could remap that button in the settings :-)

An addition to the list posted by Metal:
TeleportTo NameofLocation
Teleports you to a bunch of locations. Simply enter TeleportTo and the console will show the location names.

Hi Bill, for a keyboard with a German layout the console opens by pressing Alt Gr + the key with ?ß\ on it (should be the one next to "zero" (right side)

On the German QWERTZ layout it's also Alt Gr and +/*/~ as well as Shift and 3/§.

Does anyone happen to know if you use these if it disables achievements for that save file or game sessions or do these cheats not affect achievements?

Using cheats may affect some of the achievements.

I ran into a bug during the mission with the horse race where you use the red speed horse. Guy and Buddy were stuck off to the side and not on the horse at the start. This was after I failed it once. Using the cheats, I forced myself into a minigame and then suicided. That fixed it.

Did you manage to report it via the in-game bug reporter tool in the ESC menu? Or could you send us your logs from this gameplay? You can find them here:
