The chess one is a good pick up if that is right. I will review and correct if need be.
I should be able to patch it over the weekend.
Always amazed at the dedication people have to finding all the secrets. Awesome work on the guide by the way. Keep at it!
Okay, then I will do as much of the ending without actually triggering it as possible to get the Thought Map completed.
Another question if you mind: When did you scratch the original ending 2? And why? Or maybe my suspicion is wrong.
Not directly. I meant more the oddity between ending 2 and 4. First off, the achievement name of ending 2 (All or None) is different from the one in-game (No going back). The first name implies that there is a solution where everybody (Sean included) can survive which is not the case.
And then there is the mentioning of a more stable energy source which ties in in ending 4. Also the item placement for the monster trap and especially the keycard seemed odd to me. If you wanted ending 4 to be more accessible it is strange that you get it so late at the main ending. It would make however sense if the keycard was formerly needed for some kind or reactor room to stabilize the laser. That is why I thought you had initially another idea here.
Also, do we encounter the specimen Roy wanted to re-capture in-game? Is it really the cow? Or is it the dog? Could I doom myself if I have a certain item with me at ending 5?
I get what you are saying, however, I didn't want to make it easy haha. Wanted it to be one of the harder ones. Hell I never expected people to find all of them. I underestimated players.
As for Roy's specimen he was trying to re-capture I think I was going to have an ending exploring that but I think that turned into some other ending. Still got some ideas I could put in the game to make it a bonus ending. We will see.
It is on the to do list: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/928189583428235868/FEF8671DE5A8AC57AE9E74B8D56A8FA3C9B4E01B/
I took a quick look and it seems that it is a checkmate now.
If it conforms you, we still have troubles with two of them. For one I'm even a step behind compared to others.
The thing with the bonus ending would also explain that audio log in the laboratory which is password protected.
You're doing really well.
As for the audio log that is just something from one of my favorite things, goats that scream like humans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIaFtAKnqBU I needed to get it in the game somewhere. I also dropped it somewhere else, believe it is when you watch one of the TVs when the power is restored to the town.
I took a moment and checked. The chess puzzle is now a checkmate and also the ending 2 bug is not happening anymore. So thanks for the fixes. Typos have also been corrected although I think there might be some left elsewhere.
Just wanted to take the opportunity and tell you that I really liked the game and I think it should be known better. It is one of the best puzzle I've played recently and I always felt that deduction and logic had been rewarded. Well .... with the exception of the cursed ending 12. I still feel lucky to have solved this. It is strange as now other ending in the game needs outside knowledge. Everything is usually present, even stuff like what Poker hands there exist.
I understand that you want some endings to be tougher and that is okay but if I might make a suggestion: For those in the future who want to solved this on their own some kind of in-game help would be great. So reward exploration or curiousity and make a tip (or even the "solution") to the picture triples as the fifth or sixth television program. So that only the dedicated will find it.
Haha yeah 12 is quite bad with the maze.
Sorry didn't quite get that, did you find any of the puzzles needed out side knowledge? Tried to avoid that as much as possible.
Not a bad idea...Not bad at all. Before some of the endings would have been impossible before I added some hints and only had thought map for endings 1 and 2. So thought expanding that would help but I like that idea for rewarding the exploration even further with hints/tips.
You have been succesful for the most part I think. But I (and I think others as well) had real troubles with the hidden picture triples and the art gallery. Unless I interpreted it wrong, you need to know that salt is being mined, that it has been a trading good and that it is part of Pretzels (you can tell the last one if you ever ate one, still). The second triple was a bit better, but you had to recognize the flash as electricity and that the ring is a phonetic wordplay. And I am still not completely sure why the solution to the last triple is the flag (of Ireland). It was more of a gut feeling
It is however the only grain of salt to an otherwise great game.
