When do it count as a kill? When the player is down or when he´s gone or..?

To get a kill counted, you need to be the one downing the enemy. Then, they need to be finished in any way (it can also be by another player). It won't count if they are revived or if they are finished when you are dead.

The player finishing them (if they're finished by a player) must be either you or someone from your team, if it's a player from another team they'll be awarded the kill (if the gas finishes them I think this counts as your kill also)

I'm just going to chime in and mention that I have been getting kills counted on my weekly challenge of dogma dart gun kills for assists, like if I have the DoT on another animal and someone else kills them before the dart damage does I still get the kill counted as a dogma dart gun kill. I have not checked it counts towards unlocking the progression on the gun to get new skin colours yet. Might check that later.
