v1.2.1 hotfix

Just released a hotfix for patch v1.2 because achievements were broken. Also, sadly, the mouse cursor bug had to be reverted in order to make the achievements work again.

I won't go too into detail but it's due to the Steamworks plugin for the game engine (construct 2) is not compatible with the most recent version of the underlying technology (nw.js). So I had to revert my game back to an older version of nw.js.

When the Steamworks plugin for Construct 2 gets updated I will release a new update to fix the mouse cursor bug.

Changes

Fixed the achievements not registering with Steam
Reverted the mouse cursor bug (mouse cursor will still get messed up in windowed mode)

I sincerely apologize if this caused you to miss an achievement.

Playthrough time of only four hours?

One of the reviewers pointed out the the game was able to be 100% completed in only four hours. Is this an accurate summation of the gameplay time? Edit: Several posters have commented that they were able to complete the game in under an hour or two. It seems this game is far too short for my tastes....

This update has a few minor bug fixes in it. They are all visual fixes so there's nothing that effects gameplay.

Fixed an issue for first time players where the glowing rectangle on the upgrade screen was off center by about 18 pixels
Fixed an issue in the UI where the build / tool buttons would become too dark if you didn't have enough money to buy it, so I lightened it up so you can still see the icon
Fixed an issue when playing in windowed mode where the mouse cursor would change into a standard Windows cursor rather than the game's custom cursor

Framerate + music trailer feedback

Hi, the game looks interesting, but what's the framerate? From the trailer it looks like it's 30 FPS? If so, that's too low for any realtime game. Also the music in the trailer is horrible.

Don't worry, there's no vulgar language, no references to drugs/alcohol, no sexual themes, and no blood/gore, very family friendly. Is there a toggle in the settings to turn the swears and gristle back on?

Fun game but Drillers are broken

Just build a Driller on turn 2, spam Gatling in the meantime put upgrade points into mining until 3 or 4 minerals and the game is basically won. With your mineral surplus you mine out the map easy and its just putting a decent layout of slowing towers and Gatling on every available spot. Refund upgrade points at 400 minerals stocked if you feel like it. I went straight from not being able to beat wave 10, to beating both easy and then medium back to back (medium needs stasis spam to beat wave 14 sin...
