Once you subscribe to a mod, only then will the workshop show up on the game loading page. If you have not subscribed to any mods, then it does not show up.
Yeah I know that you subscribe under the workshop, but normally like on the pc version, the mods work after approving them on the workshop icon on the top right corner of the main menu. On the steamdeck it doesn't have that even though it said I subscribed to the mod.
That's ok at least you tried :)
It actually works the same as pc, luckily. I just checked it out on my steam deck. Under game info there's the workshop to subscribe and then when you open the game, there is a workshop button in the top right corner that you can tap and it shows to install them.
But, I don't know if all of them will work as the modder needed to make it for Linux based as well, but you can always see which ones work for you. I might try to check it out later myself to test which ones work.
There aren't any problems on steam deck. There are problems on Nintendo Switch though
