How do I get the barn and stable? :/

I did the quest for Mooney, and his cows already shipped into his own barn. I looked everywhere in my work benches to see if i could build my barn, but not a thing.
I have a calf in my inv already, just wondering how to make the barn. >_< plz & ty
Also, how do i build a stable? i wanna start taming horses but no idea where to put them.

You get the barn from Frank.

There is a much cheaper barn that you can make yourself but it's not as pretty and it won't allow you to keep a horse in it. Like with everything, you have to pay Frank if you want the nice looking stuff.

Stable (for horses): You need to get Poppy to move into your town (via purchasing the animal shop from Frank's table). After that, get to doing her quests. Eventually the horse stable quest will activate where she'll tell you to talk to Frank about building one.

Thanks alot! I had to wikipedia it, but you actually came up with the most helpful advice! XD i was tired of seeing 'go to Frank' answers. smh XD
