Building a bridge

How do you build a bridge in the build mode. Every time I try and put two of the wooden platform things next to each other they never fit right. They are always stacked on top of each other, different heights, or something weird. I just want to build some bridges to these other islands that I cannot swim to.

I've found that the build mode works better with the grid placement turned off, just remember to turn it back on when you are done because it can cause other problems playing with it off.

Try wooden foundations instead of platforms. They seemed to snap together much easier in my experience.

I tried that first, and when I did that they just got placed at the bottom of the water so they were no use. I thought they would be placed at the top of the water, but they weren't.

You have to place the first one on the sand and then the rest of them will attach together forming a bridge across the water.

I usually place a ramp first and then add the platforms. Its tricky to get a ramp perfectly the other side though, without the ramp directing upwards instead of down.
