Game keeps crashing on loading screen

Almost all of the times I've opened this game today, it has immediately crashed on the first loading screen after selecting "new game." The one time it did work it played just fine for two missions of the tutorial before crashing on a loading screen once again.

Mine crashes as soon as I get to the geoscape. How fix?

Yep mine crashes every time i go into turn based battle - happened from the last update.

Don't really want to start a new thread for the same thing. New game loads another loading screen that seems to do nothing. Any work around or is my 16 mins of game time going to be just loading screens

I am having the same issue and have submitted several bug reports from within the game. I have received no responses to the bug reports i have submitted.

Getting the same thing, just bought the game and DLC, fresh install.

Just installed it today.
Haven't been able to play. The game hangs at the second loading screen.
And looking at this thread, this seems to be a new bug ?

Hi, I bought the game yesterday, installed it and now wanted to start a new campaign. The Loading bar freezes at around 75%....thus I cannot start the game at all. Can someone help me please? I have a high end PC
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900 12-Core Processor 3.10 GHz
- 32GB RAM
- Windows 10 Pro for Workstations
- Geforce RTX 3060

Worked for me as well. For those who need to know how to validate the install:
1. Restart your computer and launch. Steam.
2. Next, you can either right click the game in your Library, or click the gear icon from the game's Library page on the far right.
3. From the drop down menu, select. Properties...
4. Select the. Local Files. ...
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

That should not be the reason the game keeps crashing at the start of loading a new game. If you mean to validate the files. Won't alter it crashing at the start of a game. Then if you do start the game, and have saves, you get a white screen load crash. Cannot keep validating the files every time you want to play the game.

Same for me and no answers from Devs? Very disappointing....
