War cry is always excellent, but is even better against pure. Most pure are heavy or sniper classes, both of them need 3AP to attack. War cry cripples them to 2AP, so they can't attack.
Melee weapons are excellent. They ignore force shields and deal big hits against the pure's soft crunchy insides. The Neurazer is also effective. Pure have paralysis resist, reducing 8 stun to 4. But they only have ~150HP, so a few guys can gang up to zap them down. The paralysis sniper will wreck pure, if they can land a hit.
EMP, grenades and armor shred are good friends. WIthout a dedicated armor melter like acid, it takes a lot of effort. The sniper shredding skill suffers because they have a hard time landing any hit, but the berserker skill is excellent. Force shields are typically not worth the effort to shatter.
I don't remember what mental resistances the pure have. priests might be awesome because of low Pure WP and mind crush against low HP, or they might be useless due to immunity. Dunno.
That also allows you to set any Faction Weapons, and Proto Civilization ones too. 👍👍1k💖🤠
I won the battle in 4 turns no casualties. I'm a little embarrassed I tried grinding through it with Synedrion rifles 3 times.
