Hide Helmet / MOD?

I know you can't wear a helmet and hide it in this game during tactical mode/combat. I love how I can customize my characters... but then you can't even see them in combat :-(

Is there any MOD out there or way we can wear a helmet but hide it visually during combat? I know many games do this. Not sure why they chose not to in this game. Why put character customization... if we can't SEE the customization we did? LOL

Im pretty sure there is a "hide helmet" option in the character panel on the barracks menu.

There definetely is (or at least was), but i'm not sure if it hides it for real or if hides only for character overview.

Sadly, the "Hide Helmet" option is Character Customization is to only hide it when you're changing up their appearance. This makes 0 sense. Why would they allow us to customize our characters... give them skin tone, change their hair (style and color)... allow us to turn helmets off while doing this... but not give the option to hide helms in battle? LOL What's the point of customizing my character if I can't see them?

I know this is Phoenix Point and not the Sims, but one of my favorite parts of XCom is the ability to customize my soldiers, make them look cool... I grew attached to them, and I really enjoyed playing with a squad I made. This makes me sad. Stupid helmets. I can choose to not wear one... but of course... I don't get the benefits. Most games let you wear hats and helms but turn them off :-( Double sad about this :-(

I agree and also hope that mods will allow for more customization of your soldiers.
