Play with mods not working, stuck on loading screen (macOS)

I have an Apple Silicon macbook and I can play the base game just fine but as soon as I stat the game with the mods option I am stuck on the Loading splash screen and the game never starts.

A: The problem is that Steam Workshop is trying to create a folder but OS blocks Steam from doing anything inside PhoenixPointOSX.app

You should be able to fix it by creating a folder named ModLoaders in /Users/{YOUR_USER_NAME}/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Phoenix Point/PhoenixPointOSX.app/Contents/Resources
