TFTV Do you guys pick one faction to help at the start or juggle all three?
Which is the strongest faction to gain reputation with early days in Terror from the void?

I don't think TFTV changed anything on that front. Just play and do what you can - they'll warm up to you eventually. Just don't be a d*ck during dialogue options.
The only real choice is who you're stealing your 2nd aircraft from, as that will deal a notable blow to your relationship which will delay them sharing their projects with you for a long while.

NJ gatekeep access to superior training facilities, faster manufacturing, mounted weapons, fire weapons and Technicians.
Their heavy gear is built around bold close-to-mid range fighting with high armor and damage values, but at the cost of accuracy and mobility.
March forward steadily and overwhelm them with superior fire power is their prefferable way of fighting. Or just drown them in explosives and napalm, that works too.

Synedrion gatekeep faster research times, laser weapons and Infiltrators.
Their light gear is built around stealth and long range fighting. Their laser weapons pretty much act as a direct upgrade to PPs default weapons dealing same damage, but with much better accuracy as well as doubled magazine sizes.
Their armor provides better mobility than PP or especially NJs but at the cost of armor values.
Their snipers in particular are squishy as sh*t basically wearing glorified raincoats and hoping enemies won't notice them, while NJ snipers can throw hands with Syn Assaults because they have exactly the same armor values as them, which is hilarious to me.

Disciples of Anu gatekeep superior shotguns, melee weapons, mutations and Berzerker/Preist class combo.
Their "gear" (lets be honest: berzerker armor is just a placeholder for mutations) is built around high mobility and close range combat. Also, weirdly, perception.
With their powerful shotguns and being the only faction to produce melee - their goal is to rush the enemy and kick their sh*t in from point blank range. Fitting for religious zealots.
But honestly the Priests is the most important contribution. I never have a non-mechanised squad without a Frenzy Priest, that +50% Speed boost is too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good.

fuly depends of your game.
For me optimal is to start game with Any priest, and develop relationship with NJ, but try to not have negative relations with Any.
If you buy Armadio technology on Bazar then you can stop progress with NI. and develop relations with Any to have shredding technology

Problem in this game is that you don't have eral strategy option. I mean, you can close range and sniper enemies at the same time, meaning no matter the choice you will do you will need to be able to have 2 shots a turn in some situation and 1 sniper shot in other situation...
Syn has also nice poison crossbow, this can help in a few situation where enemy has few HP but you cannot waste 2 AP to kill it, so... 1 AP crossbow (come sooner in the game than other PWD weapons I think)

It sounds a bit basic but I seem to have my teams now with the Kaos Buggy a techie and couple heavies. I havent really found my main teams load outs yet via weapons but have most of the research. It seems the game , to make it harder just puts more of the larger aliens on the map. I prefer quick battles, not waiting 10 minutes for the enemy to take its turn. Still very cool and I love it, just wish I knew how to build a good team of 5 and 8/9
