Role on Mars tactics or Xenonauts 2 so I can just play a game with good tactical combat without all of this disease and mutating genital garbage.
Unfortunately this mod doesn't save the game as hoped.
Those guys made an amazing job - pretty insane.
And delirium is not that bothering as you can cure it at some points or add muton/bionic part to remove some of its effect.
It can bring some nice buffs/debuffs to your character to bring more diversity after it is cured.
Yeah but why is it there at all? Why do we always need some form of life sapping fungi to complicate the game? It reminds me somewhat of a few TB rpg's I have played in the past that was ruined by the over use of poison, poison clouds, poison grenades, everything poison. Poison in such games is fine if kept on a leash.
Poison and brain dissolving micro organisms are boring and add nothing to the fun factor.
Besides all that, we are high tech warriors and we have never thought of protective suits and gas masks? Man these soldiers are thick.
Delirium isn't that bad though. I did a full campaign on veteran, had two teams and split delirium between them, never had excessive problems with delirium. Still plenty of will on my high-ranked soldiers, used experimental treatment about 6 times total, and had some more incentive to use mutations (very slightly bionic, cause stupid expensive).
I read that but was hoping it might be by some small chance workable. Plague's and brain rot in games are to me like timers, I am not a fan.
Anyway, seeing there is no way around it I have turned everything off that I can in the mod menu that has to do with delirium and it's effects and started a new game.
If I pretend it's not a thing maybe everything will be okay.
The one thing that keeps drawing me back to this game are the long hard thought battles. Some of them can be intense, but really enjoyable. Shame about the rest of the game, I find it a bit meh and frustrating.
I mean lets face it, the massive FO moth is really stupid and the story behind it even worse. And then you have the mind dissolving green snot stuff.
Oh, and I think Lovecraft is overrated. Anyone can drop acid and have a bad trip.
