with reload you have a artillery and enemy just die without seeing your unit
Vehicle guns are pretty strong and if you're relying on them for most of your firepower you're probably not running your squad efficiently anyway. Scarabs are really devastating to small targets and don't have a ton of ammo because of it, but Armadillos have insane value and it gets refilled for free after every battle.
Something like that would probably be easier to balance than reloading or infinite ammo.

There's no real tracking, you can shoot with a Scarab 3 times that's all, and more would just make the game super easy at least up to mid game...Maybe being able to fire only 1 missile instead of 2 would make sense
