any kaos engine guides?
Specifically what are these new weapons you can buy for your soldiers (not the vehicles, not interested in that part)? What are their stats? What's this . . . chance to malfunction at a bad time about?

Buy one and take a chance! :)

Truthfully, they are not too complex. And not too pricey if you've helped the dude out. Just have some fun experimenting with them.

no, I want to know what I'm getting into! I'm not getting into the van with the man offering candy >_>

What is the "chance of malfunction" is it listed?

Come on! The van seats are heated. ;) I think the release blurb hinted at it, that these things might not be the most reliable. I think they're a bit of fun. Really, just try one and see what happens. Maybe have your original rifle handy as a back up.

I don't want to get into "that's xcom baby" moments where I pull the trigger and there's a 5% chance of it blowing up in my face : /

Then those weapons are probably not for you. Some players may indeed dislike the fact that the weapons are not the most reliable. I found them interesting and didn't have a problem if something happened. Each to their own.

mouse over it, I thought it gave the stats, shotgun was great, got 10 kills in 11 shots in my first mission with it, but got to watch, it may jam, which is a pain, but it may also blow up, which in a game with out much resources it can be costly, so far really like the ones I have gotten, only hassle is, I am far behind in getting another air craft up and ready

Well when I moused over the weapons at the shop it didn't say anything about the chance to fail, which is what I'm asking about.

I have only played with the pistol, but each time i fired it, it gained 2% malfunction chance. Mine is at 10% now. The Malfunction chance does carry over to other missions.

I had one mission with 4 misfires and the next had 2, but most times, have made it though the mission with no issues (didnt notice the counter, will have to look for that the next time)
got one shotgun, 2 rifles, one sniper rifle and one pistol (love the shotgun and pistol is nice, rifles have been so-so

i am not a fan of the new inventory for the vehicles and i wish it doesn't take so much room cause that was the main reason for having them in battle and we still cant get more ammo for it

uh how do I get a kaos buggy of my own, I did all the dude's missions and I don't have one of my own, and I don't see one in his shop either? I bought some of the experimental plans for it but I don't have one to begin with.

You get it via the shop, the inventory changes after a period of time. I think it was 24 hours if I remember correctly.

so does the malfunction chance stop at 10%?
sirgreybeard Mar 2, 2022 @ 6:59am
no, I got one up to 40% so far, not sure if there is going to be a repair option or not, if not, they are not going to be worth the cost
