Ancient ones dig sites.

I've cleared out 2x dig sites now, the tooltip says to send a manned craft to collect resources but the only option I have is to deploy guardian. The guardian requires said resource x100, I have also built and arch centre in one of the bases.

Not really sure what to do and how to get the resources?

(any devs reading, the ancient ones dlc could use a bit of an in game tutorial maybe a basic mission on how to build and deploy a drone?)

Once the aircraft is in place at the site it will start to gather resources all you have to do is leave it in place.

You must leave a aircraft with at least one soldier inside to start get the resources. They are needed to build the anciente weapons (the most powerfull of game), but you need to control also the ancient processing site of that resource in order to build the weapon.

No. The number of resource gathered at one mine site/hour, is your active Archaeology Labs number.
Example: you have 5 Archaeology Labs, so one mine site will give you 5 resource / 1 hour.
You only need 1 aircraft (with 1 person) at the site, and it will automatically mine the site.
If you have manned more the one mine of the same type, they will gather the resources individually. Like the example (5/1) *2= 10/1
To craft something, you need to capture the processing site, there are 3, one for each type of resource, and you dont need to man them (no aircraft needed)
Example: Mattock of the Ancients only needs Orichalcum, to craft it you only need the Orichalcum Forge.

The build guardian option is there for place a guard (only one) at the chosen site.
It is instant, no build time needed.
You cant remove it later, and it dont do anything beside protect the place when it is attacked. And it is wery costy, but powerfull (they are the same guardians that you need to destroy to capture the site) and they will automatically deployed.
If one site is attacked, you get a tooltip at the Geospace top right corner (same tooltip as the excavation) it will show how much time (you get 24 hours) is left before the attack (and you can click on it to jump to the site)
I only got attacked by Pandorans, maybe 3-4 times a month.
If you lose one site, you can re-capture it later.
