What are your favorite mutoid builds?

Oof these builds are harder to make than I thought - the first thing the game tells you is you can only pick 1 human and 1 pandoran skill per level, but what it doesn't make super clear is that the skill you pick at each level comes from a locked pool; i.e. if you pick brawler as your level 2 human perk, you can't also learn dash, ever not even at later levels! It may not be all that easy to pick a totally internally consistent build, you'll probably pick something that just sort of works.

AND mutoids also, despite the game claimimng they can get ANY ability of a soldier, can't gain the ultimate skill of every class. No Rapid Clearrance, no Adrenaline Rush, no Electric Reinforcement, no Sneak Attack, etc. But I'm somewhat glad they can't. Sure it was made this way for the sake of balance. And I myself expected too they would may have 2 skills of the same level of 2 different classes. They still easily outperform your soldiers from rookie to veteran, only giving way to the maxed out terminator warriors you may have had.

I need to try some of the pandoran abilities to see what the numbers on them are; the tooltip isn't very clear just from the level up screen (for example no idea how much bleed the bleeding strike does). Also need to see what the scylla abilities are, once I unlock them.

Mutoids can't be augmented/mutated so a lot of their abilities are sort of just making up for the lack of augments.

I really want to test out the paralyze limb ability. In my imagination it would be able to disable scylla's claws rending it harmless.

So the pandoran parts do the same thing as they do when the pandorans use them; i.e. slasher arm does 80 + 20 bleed just like a siren does.

One cute thing is if you autopsy a chiron you can learn goo bomb, and if you goo one of your own soldiers you can develop the anti-goo tech at least potentially before the pandorans goo you, which is minor but nice. edit: actually this is almost useless since you still have to capture a pandoran with a goo ability before you can manufacture anti goo boots

Reminder to self to try 2 mutoids vs scylla and see if I can disable both arms in one turn.

If you spec a mutdoid into infiltrator they do not get the baseline class stealth bonus.

My tentative mutoid build is

Human

Level 1: Technician - turrets do amazing damage
Level 2: Dash, mobility is just too useful
Level 3: remote control to go with turrets, war cry is a close second but I have a lot of war cry coverage as is
Level 4: field heal, curing limbs is nice to have in a pinch
Level 5: remote deployment to go with turrets

Pandoran

Level 1: paralyze limb (still need to test on scylla)
Level 2: spit goo to trap pesky melee enemies
Level 3: confusion cloud, should have some application vs umbrians or any highly mobile unit. it's like a ghetto war cry, or they both can both be applied for suppressing enemies
Level 4: pain chameleon, makes it hard if not impossible to take lots of damage from one enemy in one turn
Level 5: mind control immunity, not sure if it's better than goo bomb but it's nice to have in general. You could learn frenzy here but i do like to have a dedicated priest for that because mind crush ultimate is great for clearing worms launched at you from distance from chiron

I don't think mutoids excel at melee combat for two reasons: first you can't pick both dash and brawler (ouch), and second you can't augment with vengeance torso (ouch). I can see justification for using a heavy class for jet packs and grenade launcher, so that's definitely an alternative to technician spec.

edit: all right paralyze limb doesn't work on scyllas (I tested on his slashers, and then his legs) so RIP that idea. It's still decent for locking out pandorans or humans with 2 handed weapons I suppose.
