convert or import from TTS?
Hi folks,

I was just wondering if there is a viable (easy) way to import games that i have created in TTS?

For example, if i have a game in TTS. Is there an easy way to import it into TTP, without having to go through all of the manually importing of cards, boards, scripting etc?

Does this use the same sort of file types (json i think) that can be migrated? Or would i have to manually build the game again in the game creator?

In addition, if not, is anything importable/migratable to lessen the work load?

I really enjoy TTS, but the fiddlyness of everything is off putting for me who knows how to use it. so when trying to get new people to join me, its very off putting for them. Whilst this sounds like it addresses that issue, so will hopefully make it much easier to get friends to play along with me.

Thanks

Cards and 3D models are compatible and can be imported quite quickly. Creating games in TP is generally faster and less fiddly.
But don't expect a program, that can migrate a game from TTS to TP completely. TTS and TP are too different, some objects (most importantly Asset Bundles) don't exist, and the placement of objects depends on the shape and size of the tables.
That being said, I found migrating my mods manually quite fast and painless.

This caught my attention since it's on sale right now.

If there were even a partial import, even that could be useful. For instance, if it were just all the objects, saved to a library. (The equivalent of "Saved Objects" in a folder in TTS). I use TTS for playtesting and prototyping, and if we could update files by just sharing the same .png files, and have them work the same way in both programs, a whole lot of us would switch over.

writing a importer from TTS would be a fantasticly awesome project, and one beyond me.

The latest update includes an automatic TTS importer tool, see here how to use it: https://tabletop-playground.com/knowledge-base/importing-from-tabletop-simulator/
