I do agree though, it would be really nice to see Crossplay, sadly i don't know the mechanics behind crossplay, as in DOA uses P2P connections.. which not sure if that is something possible over PC to consoles. Also, Sony has proven on numerous occasions now they aren't big on crossplay, they claim it "ruins the sony universe perception" (load of crap lie) but have proven it takes some effort to get them to be cross platform... for some reason they believe making games on PS only will make people buy a PS... backwards thinking but whatever. I know when Rocket League was making crossplay that sony wouldn't have it until it was confirmed that all Xbox, Nintendo and PC (Windows, Steam and Epic) would support it... then they caved.
In short it would be a awesome feature but chances of it working are unknown due to P2P connections and unlikely (at least for steam to PS) due to sony's attitude (they do do crossplay on some games now but they seems picky). Maybe with Xbox and then sony might join? But it's a pipe dream sadly :(
Something i would loved to have seen, as you say, it would boost the number of players nicely.
crossplay would make the game functional online wise and people would be willing to spend on things cause they know its continueing. the whole dlc is expensive drama is a bit over the top. i only bought the characters
60game 40 all dlc characters. if you play without thinking of the grind it gets to you pretty fast all those unlockables.

crossplay would make hear n say positive. hey hey doa 6 is not dead. it makes it more appealing
then again im no nostrdamus but im sure it will make the game look appealing
It would be equally appealing to veterans as more competition.
It's just something which wont happen in doa6, my point of contention was if P2P works with crossplay, peer-to-peer is how the PC side at least runs, it's kind of crummy but apparently common for fighters (i don't play lots of fighters so not 100%) so not sure if it's compatible in that way.
PC version has about 2-3 frames of input delay. PS4 has 8.
You would have an insane advantage over console players, being able to block every low while they can't do anything about your own moves other than blindly guess. These two versions have completely different meta. It's a bad idea for a lot of reasons.
In a perfect world, Sony wouldn't put out garbage hardware with those kind of issues and KT wouldn't impose using the flawed DW9 engine on TN which increases the input delay even further. But here we are.
but then its kinda like choose your poison. ps4 has a lot of peeps playing we dont. so i mean its a tuff pill not?
so would doa1/2/3 lobbies and a Cox Internet connection.....

That's why i don't pay them for useless PS+.
Case with Microsoft little better, but not so much, i think.
this game is very weird dead. because lets be honest there people playing this right now
but you dont see lobbys active and ranked is even more dead
i have to assume that most that play this right now are in it for the nude mods or just weebs(with all respect) i love them weeb games to . but i mean pure weebs. they arent in it for the online but to just enjoy the beautiful sight of women and those mods add the arrousement
which is a shame because this game has advanced mechanics and i guess even if it is advanced it doesnt matter. these same people are no migrating to this game

obviously its a market to just play with shaking boobs that fight. and as much as i adore that part with guilty conciounce. but i wouldnt want it to be purely based on that. the crossplay should be doable. at the end of the day they are the same games with adjustments for the consoles or pc.
prove me wrong
1 : DOA6 is dead because of the terrible online netcode, i waited 15 minutes in the lobby, someone came and we had a stop motion match, the worst netcode in coop gaming history.
2 : fight angel is pure fanservice crap, the gameplay is shallow the amount of movesets is less than a KOF NES game, the character models look like rubber rubbish, the gamepad support doesn't work for some people even the developer admit they don't know what's going on with their game ???. it's no where close as DOA6 quality, nobody left DOA6 for fight angel, people left DOA6 because of its own faults don't blame Fight Angel for anything.
the only thing fight angel did better than DOA6 is cloth destruction, yes fully cloth destruction with real nudity. Fight angel DLC pack is more expensive than the game itself too but nobody bats an eye or complain, while DOA6 got 8563453 threads complained about the same ♥♥♥♥, why ? because it has real nudity. DOA needs that ♥♥♥♥ wrapped up they have to make up their mind and decide if they are going the mature fanservice path or not, assuming there's gonna be a next DOA game but i don't think so, the beach ball game made them enough money.

i have had some lag. but im gonna be honest with you i only played 2 ranked and 10 lobby matches and 1 i lost cause i had to wait so long in ranked that i went toilet and came back reading i lost. im trying to say that not all doa fans are fans for the same reason. some come here for the boobfest. and thats fine you know they are a well deserved fanbase as well and they are welcome here. but their not productive to the online scene. maybe ull occasionally find them online but their here for the mods. and the review i showed you is an example
by the way i have a feeling you are a bit annoyed or insulted by me saying that. just want to let you know i like doa6 so much more just like you. i just want to be unbiassed when i post something.
just to distract the topic a bit from our yes or no thing. doa 6 has a fighting mechanique and i hate that it went astray because of the dlc commotion and what not. ive seen people do the same in street fighter vs tekken. first they complained every day about the gfwl netcode. and because of that people didnt buy the game and then they started to cry that the game died. but they were the ones who killed it in the first place
i believe doa6 had the same treatment regardless wether the complainers made a good point or no. the fact is i never bought costumes i only bought characters and im having my ways with mods. my total spend on this i believe it was around 60 or 80 during sale and i have all characters. so to me those complains were getting out of hand. and i admit i was miniscule also like that. but i figured out that the game was fine.
as for the topic
doa is an excellent full fledged game that only need s to update the belly button navel and maybe perhaps like you saiid the netcode. otherwise im having fun
dont say its the worst netcode. for that id say street fighter v is the worst netcode that ever existed in human kinds
"but with Dead or Alive 6 raking up a 2000$ pricetag" i stopped reading after this.
