So now hearing something that i need to download, a new version of DOA 6 why should i download when doesn't fix side stepping to bring DOA 5 sidestepping into doa 6. I just wanted that back into the game.

You don't "need" to download anything. But some people do use mods that alter the gameplay, thereby preventing them from playing with others unless they have the same mods.
