Can we buy individual costume DLC?
You can buy individual costumes on XBL but not on Steam? Is there any reason for this. I want to buy some costumes for the characters I play but I don't want to buy the whole pack. F2P players are being forced to buy DLC for characters they don't even own. This is dumb as hell.

Nope. That's why I'm not gonna buy them. I would buy a few costumes individually, but if they have so much disrespect for the customer they will get no money from me.

Yeah, how dumb. I bought the game but I'm not getting any DLC because of this. What a waste.

This is one of the reasons why I didn't buy the full game. I don't want to invest that much money upfront if I can't afford the DLC.

Tweet at them @koeitecmoeurope

I don't know if they'll listen but if enough of us boycotts and complains maybe they will.

It really makes no sense, but KT has made it pretty clear that only Xbox One is getting costumes sold individually: https://teamninja-studio.com/doa6/us/news190301a.html

Both PS4 and PC lose out for reasons that they have not explained. To make matters even more confusing, some folks have reported that in Asia, you can buy costumes individually on the PS4 (but not in the Americas or Europe). It's all very bizarre and makes no sense whatsoever based on the information that we have - but unfortunately, that seems to be what they're doing.

Yes what you said is all true including Asia PS4s getting individual outfits. Maybe they think westerners can afford to buy expensive bundles or they just don't care about us and listen to only their japanese base.

Either way the franchise is over for me. I'm moving on, once i get bored of DOA i'm not looking bad. I said i would reconsider if they make things better eventually but this release was so terrible and felt so bland and bare that i felt like i was ripped off especially buying the deluxe edition for $80. I feel like a massive ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for doing that.

I could have bough $60-80 dollars worth of weed, and since the F2P version came out barely 2 weeks from release, i could have just spent a few dollars on a few characters. Biggest disappointment from teamninja, they aren't worth being loyal to or supporting, you have to be blind to not see how they shorted the game and asked for full price despite not releasing everything, dialogue is bland and empty (1 for each hero), outfits are boring and uninspiring meant to make you buy DLC.

And the lobbies not being released shows that they haven't learned anything, they don't listen to their base, instead they listen to their revenue and money figures/estimates. Good luck.

Oh and the new physics aren't that noticeable or necessarily improve the game, it's nothing special at all. Graphics aren't that great too, they look less detailed and the faces are more childlike on the female characters.

Could have gave us lusty bombshell maidens with cool fighting gear, but revealing in a sexy way. Nah they just gave us some bare and bland DOA, rehashed cash grab, lazy, avoiding every small detail ass greedy ass devs/investors. If you honestly think the base game of DOA6 is $60 you need your head reexamined or you are filthy rich.

Game feels like it's worth $20-30. $35-40 if we talk about all the content including the digital deluxe. No offense but this game can't even hold free players. They just picked a random tiny pool of characters which was stupid. They can't even make a F2P version right!

Like i said, if you aren't a fan to the DOA franchise, DO NOT BUY! You should just buy MK11. You will for sure get your worth plus some more. It will surely feel less lazily made than DOA6, and feel less like a cash grab.

On a scale of "cash grab" i'd rate this game a 8.7/10. This game was purely made for quota reasons. I've felt more energy and detail put into indie games created by 1-2 people. And some manage to hold 1000x the amount DOA6 playerbase released with. Some random college student making better and more appealing games than professionals who have been at it since the 90s. FOR SHAME! REVOLTING! If DOA6 can barely distinguish itself from DOA5 than it's not worth asking premium price when it feels like the same ♥♥♥♥, but more lazy and "planned."

Some people say the game is complete... my asss! The game is incomplete from both being greedy, withholding certain game mechanics to cheapen the creation process, and put a large chunk of it behind a paywall.

DOA6 and they still haven't learned even basic pleasing such as adding in attractive high quality outfits in the basegame?? DOA4 is where the franchise died, that was the last DOA game before they started to get really greedy and uncaring.

To me, it sounds like a currency exchange rate issue in conjunction with taxes and platform fees cutting into profits.

My bet is that Microsoft cut them a special deal that makes its still profitable to sell individual costumes.

And they don't have to worry about exchange rates cutting into profits with their Japanese customers.

I don't disagree with any of this. Team Ninja is dead to me. And yeah, shoulda bought weed instead of this half ass game.

This post makes it sound like the issue is that KT America/Europe controls what's being done with the Xbox One, whereas KT Japan is controlling what happens on the PS4 and Steam (though that still wouldn't explain why the PS4 is being treated differently in different regions): https://www.reddit.com/r/DeadOrAlive/comments/b48t6b/looks_like_kt_japan_is_the_reason_why_the_ability/

Yeah, I'd be down with character costume packs.

Why not just sell individual outfits at inflated price then? Notice that individual characters are sold for £3.29 alongside character packs.

I'd still prefer to pay £3 or even £4 for the one costume I like than £15.99 for the costume pack.

This is also why I'm not buying or playing the game either. I check the message boards here daily to see if anyone reports that individual purchases have been added, but I'm not supporting Team Ninja on this game if they can't have the decency to at least give us the same courtesies that they have extended to Xbox One customers.

Until they do, I'll spend my time and money doing something else.

Once again, there are no fighting games on Steam that offer their DLC costume catalogs for individual purchase on Steam's storefront, including MK (and you might want to remind yourself what happened the last time MK launched a PC port, Pipe Dream, when they straight up abandoned it for almost a year). That suggests it's a Steam issue, not a game issue. I'm told that SFV finally got around this by selling costume DLC through an in-game store. I don't own nor want that game, so I can't verify. Regardless, that may require working out a special deal with Valve. Even if that's possible for DoA, working on that code now while lobbies still don't work would get more accusations of "cash grabs" than thanks. But that appears to be the only way it's ever happening on Steam, so that's what we need to ask for once lobbies are done. At this point there's only 1 costume that only half the characters could buy anyway.

The positive thing is if you buy the sets, you are forced to get costumes for the SEXY characters in the game and not only your NiCO

SFV does it.

But they have their own in game store, separate from steam.
