So basically, you're incapable of keeping up. Thanks for sharing.
I said first fighting game that i dont like, but its good to know that you dont know how to read so i will ignore you.
Sure, i dont like injustice 2 because is all about zoning and it kinds of annoys me that MK11 is looking like that too, without the zoning it would be cool. Like i said i am not sure why i dont like the mechanics of this game, maybe its just that it has too much crap that is not intuitive.
Some things to mention:
When you knock someone down to the floor, unlike other fighting games, the situation isn't automatically to your advantage. That is because the knocked down person has access to a recovery mid or low kick that has invincibilty frames, which makes them dangerous. I think this is what you meant when you said "if you try to hit them it just doesnt happen and you get countered", you probably hit right through one and got counter hit. As a beginner, the best thing to do is back away outside the kicks' range, and only try to attack them on the floor/hold the low or mid kicks/bait the recovery and throw, etc. when you have figured your opponent's habits out. Against the AI...don't bother it's probably completely random.
You definitely can't spam the counter in neutral, that is a quick way to get destroyed. If your opponent notices that you like spamming hold, they will simply throw you that does extra damage against holds (hi counter throw).
The meter is used for Break Hold, Fatal Rush, and Break Blow. I think this is fine, I don't see why meter would need more usage. Besides, you yourself said that "so many mechanics, so much crap doesnt make a fighting game fun, just obnoxious."
It's not like the triangle system doesn't have its complexities but it's fairly straightforward to understand. maybe 2d fighters are the thing for you.
agreed, the hold system is one of the best thing of DoA, a high risk high reward system, you expose yourself spaming that.
and the other is also true DoA is really one of the most punishing game on players that don't mix their attacks, it's almost mandatory to mix the attacks all the time, to me seems like a good design choice.
all in all i still think tekken is a better game
hahahahaha. Go win the $90,000 DoA tournament. Since it's so easy for you, master.
Did you guys even read the OP post? He is complaining because the game actually has too many mechanics, not because it's too shallow.
Why would he go and do that when this game is so "beneath him", amirite?? Loool
Obviously he's bringing home moneybags from other fighting game tournaments.
