What do levels do?

When I finish quests or arcade games my overall level goes up as well as the level of the fighter I used. What do those levels mean anyway?

IIRC, some of the difficulty levels (e.g. on arcade or time attack) are only unlocked once your level is high enough. You also get titles as your level increases and as the character's level increases.

Fighter level is nothing, but in ranked you get another screen that levels up the same. :) Just independant. Have a good fight yo! See ya!

personal progression I guess, to see how much you've played. and for how much you've played a character :P

I'd be surprised if it didn't slightly affect your placements. Like if you have 500 hours before your first ranked match, it probably attempts to put you towards a higher than lowest rank match. But most probably enter ranked too early for it to matter.

but 10 points towards fighter level is frustrating anyone know a faster way to max all characters level
