How long is the story mode?
How many hours and minutes does it take to complete everything?

Probably 2 hours. It's not that long and you aren't missing much tbh.

maybe they'll keep adding those character chapters, there's space for a lot more, you have the slots there.

I'm just busy right now and trying to schedule when I'm going to do story mode.

Don't. Go see a movie or something. I like this game a lot, but Japanese fighting games can't do cinematic story modes. They can't even do fighting game-based animes well. They all have the potential to tell a great story, the pieces are all there, but it's always a disaster. I almost wonder if it's some sort of cultural inside joke that these stories have to be stupid.

(Unless you're streaming this for an audience, in which case, play the scenes left to right, not top to bottom. Everyone's been doing it top to bottom.)

For me it is taking some time, but I am the kind that listen to all the voice acting in movies. You can probably do it more than twice as fast as I'm doing it if you skip it all just to complete it.

Kind of worried I'll waste all my "only period when getting costumes is possible" event time on story and quest mode that is not affected by it.

Just finished the story mode. Takes ~2 hours. I felt the actual gameplay parts were too short because the matches are only 1 round. It's too easy but overall I was entertained. There were a few interesting plot points but alas cliffhangers. Would be nice to select costumes for story mode too.

You can't do left to right because some of the right doesn't unlock until you go down.

Very long and well thought out, did you know that people buy DOA for it's story because its so good. I mean what do you expect from a game that has been out since the 1990s :P It's a very great story, and it shows you what experience can really do :)

I hope they add the story stuff they had to cut. Shimbori said if the game does well they could add them
