They've shown off a basic tutorial that gives an overview of how to play. Hopefully they include the detailed tutorial from DoA5 and the helpful combo challenges / command training.
I never really played any 3D fighters seriously before DoA5LR and I found it easy to pick up. It doesn't play like other fighters so as long as you don't approach it with that mindset you should have a good time
You can't get more beginner friendly than that.
If you're on the recieving end, and didn't block or hold the first strike, you can still use "Break Hold" to escape, which requires meter.

hmmm, my waifus are in the game by default so idc. XD If the PC port is bad, I luckily have a PS4 just in case. I like Honoka and Marie because of DOAX VV btw. Also watched a couple gameplay videos on them from DOA5LR.
