You got 2 choices:
1) Stop crying and learn the game.
2) Cry more and nothing gonna change... At low rank you can use any character. However when u reach ~A rank, then u realise why Nico strong.
Yeah and that's why there were 2 Nico mains in Doa finals...
4 characters in S tier atm(Nico included).
ps: Nico is one of the easiest characters.
was playing against this F- rank Mila he was spamming PPPPP like mad and that nullify most of my attacks SMH, this character just got no speed to take initiative, 10 dollars bet you can't hit Kasumi back after guarding her PPPPP with P because it's soooo slow and that is the fastest move Nico got
The only command i find useful is ↖+K but hitting the opponent with this only happens in a fantasy world or the other guy is sleeping.
and just because someone uses her on the final doesn't mean she's S tier.
nico is S tier and needs to be nerfed like everyone else
You are new to the game, you aren't supposed to know everything or how it works. P chains are a low tier strategy that works surprisingly well in low to moderate ranks, but they aren't real.
When it comes to the specific scenarios above, Nico isn't slow. I don't think anyone has a strike faster than 9f, and she has one. She also has a 11f 6P, and a 12f K, making her basic strikes about as fast as they come. That is faster than Mila btw.
- Mila's P is 10f and the P chain is -9. You literally have guaranteed throws and she can't possibly do another and win unless you let her. If you are getting hit after, you are waiting too long to counter attack, or are using 20 frame moves or something.
- Kasumi doesn't get to PPPP into PPPP either. She is -6, and could be going UNDER your P. I'd say 6P is Nico's best answer because if Kasumi tries to slip under a high, you can still catch her, and at 11 frames, she can't be faster. In fact I just tried it - Kasumi can't PPPP forever.
- Low ranks aren't holding you because she has 70 moves. They hold you at low ranks because they know you are about to attack and they just hold to have a 25% chance of getting you. Nobody knows moves at low ranks. They might know PPPP because like everyone has one. Nico doesn't have to be predictable because she has 70 moves.
- A cousin isn't need to try PPPP spamming and find a solution. You can record the training dummy to do it. In fact lots of us have done that. If something beat you, the game has great options to figure out why. Pressing L3 and Left will record, and pressing L3 and right will playback.
- Shocking plot twist, Nico is one character that actually CAN back to back P chains. If you hold her final P, she is +9. She can P chain again, or do some of her slower moves.
At this point you don't have the personal depth of knowledge to know if a character is garbage if you are playing F ranks. She might not be the easiest character to use in low ranks, but it's not her job to be balanced at E rank or whatever, it's a character's job to be balanced near the top ranks.
Nobody has to know everything, or be good at a game, and certainly nobody has be know everything right after they pick a FG up, but they should be aware there is more to know. There is so much to these games that it's not fair to act like an authority on them for a long long time.
FG's are basically the only thing I've done over the last 30 Years, and I've only recently clued into understanding how they work, and will be forever a bad player. I most certainly don't think I'm qualified to say what characters are good or bad or why, and don't recommend anyone that isn't an S rank or higher do it. It's the rest of our jobs to have fun and maybe give them some to beat up so we know who the U ranks are.
He's saying Nico's slow when she's tied for fastest character in the game.
Marie Rose Blows 4/6 Nico 4/6
Marie Throws 2/6 Nico 4/6
Marie Holds 5/6 Nico 5/6
Marie Power 3/6 Nico 4/6
Marie Speed 4/6 Nico 5/6
Marie Weight 2/6 Nico Weight 2/6
characters spec at the char selection screen is the last thing humanity should believe in , it's only there for the look there ain't no accuracy about them.
you can GTFO after this post
if you didn't read my post, don't bother replying here, Nico has one of the slowest moveset or do you even played her at all or just finish the training then come here to say that
the PPPP was just an example of how slow Nico is, it doesn't have to be PPPP, literally anything in this game can nullify Nico start up attacks because nothing works, let's say you are lucky and land 1 or 2 punches then what ? instant hold because her moveset is so easy to predict and no fast critical stun commands or better launch like kokoro <-P+K
on situations when two people gonna attack the same time Nico will ALWAYS lose because she got no fast attacks or stun, i have tested this for days don't tell me i don't know what i am doing, or if you decide to not trade attacks, you guard then wait for the chance (when opponent recovery time occur) it's still doesn't work because, again, she got no fast attacks to put you in advantage or combo setup, the only thing might work is the hold but GOOD LUCK if the opponent decide to not guard and launch another attack
do we even need to mention about her P+K moves ? they are useless , no reach , slow. The charge is cool but that's all
and what fast attacks are you talking about, there's none
