How add custom resolution and unlock Break Blow Zoom for Marie, Honoka and Nico

DOA doesn't have arbitrary resolution/support for different aspect ratios such 16:10, I don't know how it will look in a widescreen monitor but it should be ok since DOA looks fine on my monitor that is 1440x900.

And is you don't know Koei Tecmo have removed the Break Blow zoom punch for Marie, Honoka and Nico, with adding a code to the exe you can add it back.


To mod the game first you have to download a hex editor, with HxD is fine

Now to actually mod the .exe you have to remove the Steam DRM, with Steamless, without this program isn't possible mod the game because it won't boot

Just to clarify, you're removing the DRM for modding purposes... And the game won't boot anyway if Steam client aren't active.

Unpack somewhere Steamless and select DOA.exe located in "(Where you Steam folder is located)steamapps\common\Dead or Alive 6", and click "Unpack file", and then we will have a new file called DOA6.exe.unpacked.exe

Open DOA6.exe.unpacked.exe with HxD and press ctrl + f, select "the hexadecimal values?" tab

(my program is in Spanish, don't know how is in English)

To add back the Break Blow zoom search for this

0F B6 40 14 3C 19 77 58

and changed it for this

90 90 90 90 3C 19 77 58

Save, and with that the Break Blow is unlocked for Marie, Honoka and Nico

The value that we need to change are

4006 = 1600

and 8403 = 900

Then... My monitor is 1440x900 then if I want 1440x900 support I have to change 4006 with A005 (1440)

Save, backup the original executable, rename the Steamless one to DOA.exe, open the game and select 1600x900 resolution in graphic options.

it's basically a modding tool made by someone in LL, so you can turn on and off those three's break blow as you want by changing the "uncensor_loli_blow" parameter

The value has changed, because now they've added Kula too to the 'censored' list.
