GOG version?
@Inti Creates

The kickstarter survey, featured a GOG option, as well as the Ritual of the Night does... Then, it suddenly got removed and the announcement that this game will be Steam only, arrived.

It feels bad to split libraries between two distributors and i 'd rather have the DRM-Free, superior alternative, whenever possible. So, any news on when it arrives at GOG's storepage? Will it be offered through GOG-connect?

What? Are you for real? Groups like Ski drow, NoSteam and Reloaded have been pirating Steam games, even before GOG showed up. What do GOG games and piracy, have in common? Any more than Steam or Origin titles?

Also, this specific game, is a free gift to backers! Look what you did there!

This game was cracked like 1 hour after release and they won't release it on GOG because they don't want it drm free? Pathetic.

Where do you get the random idea that they would do that because of drm free ... if so i will join in

Sad developers, not releasing on GoG because of the amount of cows.

See, same thing

Ah, if it is cracked already, then onwards to grab my salvage-able, not tied to DRM copy for free and get on my gamer's life, outside Steam, which embodies everything i hate in game/service models.

All this fuss, because stubborn devs.

Posting in a year old thread? Eh why not... Inti Creates has traditionally been averse to releasing anything without DRM and I doubt it will change here. .I too backed BROTN and had requested to have the prequel minigame on GOG but was informed that it could not be done. Oh well, at least the main course is DRM free. I really hope the soundtrack is as good as BCOTM. I can't wait for June 18th!
Do note that GOG does tend to be a little anal on the kinds of games they let on their platform. I'm not sure whether that's what happened in this case, but sometimes I feel they over-curate.

they do, indeed. But this time (especially since sequel was announced to be released long time ago, and they tend to publish whole franchises, if that s the case) it seems like a problem on publisher's side (iirc it differs in between this game and sequel)

What are you kidding me, I have tons of games like this from GOG. Nah, this is just the mentality of most Japanese game companies, ignorant and paranoid as hell when it comes to PC gaming and their IPs.

I mean look ay Marvelous (Xseed) and NIS, they have no issue publishing other Japanese developers' game on GOG, but not their own IPs -_-

Thank God for falcom.
