Press 'v' or 'V' sometimes gets you the running Version. Try the #extended Command List otherwise (normally accessed by Shift-3 (#) and press ? for the list. Nethack Legacy methinks is 3.6.2. in the old reckoning?

I don't own the game yet, else I would check. Maybe someone who owns it could give us the version number.
