North 3 actual solution for spark?
I mean the one where you must put something on the switch to activate the fan. Since TTP2 gives less freedom to jump around on pixels and take stuff out of puzzles, I wonder what the actual solution was: I put the block on the fan-platform in puzzle 7 and placed a connector on the upper wall corner, then I climbed the huge structure from puzzle 6 and (somehow) jumped on top of 7, dropping down to grab the connector and placing it on the switch. Was there any other solution or an outside-item somewhere that should've been used instead? Just curious.

Look around that place, you'll find something interesting between some rocks. Although it disappears after taking spark and reloading level and you probably won't find it anymore.

To put it simple: No "out-world" puzzles (sparks, stars etc) need items taken out of puzzles.
(this does of course not include shooting lasers from within some puzzles)

I'm pretty sure the Pandora monument in South3 (circular oasis) does require stealing an item from a puzzle.

No. You need to connect blue and red lasers from one puzzle to somewhere outside, and in another puzzle connect from that somewhere to the statue. Also from inside the puzzle.

That is never required at all for anything in the whole game.

Quite.
You do come close in two Stars though. The one with the hidden connector inside a puzzle (but you newer take it out of the puzzle), and the one you use the gravity-beam in the "outer-world", but again, you don't (have to) take it out of the puzzle.

You use them, you don't steal them.

Only after reading this thread did I find the "real" solution near the switch. What I did was steal a cube from puzzle 1. After that puzzle is solved, you can detach the fan that's holding the cube in the air. Place the cube halfway on the fan gears, pick up the fan, jump on the cube, and then reattach the fan to the gears. That pushes you up in the air on top of the cube. You can then jump on the wall of the puzzle, take cube, and jump out of the puzzle.

That is not the real solution. Not that it is wrong though :P
