But i don't think it's fair to say that the last two areas in the West are just more forests. The statues in W2, the huge rings and all the circular puzzle areas in W3, and the nice views in both environments are pretty cool.
Well the options are limitless. They build all that. They could have build anything.
3 of the 4 bioms are forests. The one a bit more icy, the other a bit more rocky. How is this not too similar?
The mountain area looks really cool i gotta say. But they could have done more with a few wooded areas, like i say. Some areas look pretty basic.
The forest biome don't look the same, two not even same trees. One is even in a different season. Even the wildlife is different.
The two biome that looks similar is the two "red rocks and water" but the architecture is still different.
Also don't forget that the whole puzzle part of the game take place on One island with several smaller islands.
What kind of argument is this? This is a video game. It does not need to follow any real rules in therms of this. Like i said, the options are limitless. The tram sure does not travel so fast that the north and south area being so much different would make any sense.
There are 3 or 4 maps that just consist of rather dull forest, different architecture or not. That was all that i was saying. They could have changed those into something a bit more exciting.
Perhaps in a DLC expansion?
That would be great. Although, I'd guess it's unlikely that we will get a dlc with brand new assets like that.
At some point, We see a picture of the post-apocalypse Eiffel tower in an in-game note/thread. So there must be some parts of big cities with buildings and landmarks still up even after many years. We do find cars, sattelite dishes randomly scattered around in nature.
Still, I like the natural environments we get, but it does feel a bit samey and not straying very far from the first game, for better or worse.
Mechanically speaking, it's the same with a few extras and with just more to do. And I love that.
From example:
North 1. First time then I arrive to this map it has a bright sunny weather and I loved this map. After returning to this map I got foggy/snowy weather and it was... somehow.
East 3 (and West 2) was a great map with sunset. But when I return to them later they have a day and the maps has become even cooler.
West 1. A fall bog was cloudy at first time but became very beautiful and warm in clear sunny weather.
So, my advice: if you don't like the map - try to leave and back to the location. Your taste can cange with a weather.
