I was able to bring a clone outside a puzzle, and I could even switch to it, up until I entered another puzzle. My joy was short-lived.
Them disabling foreign objects in puzzles now also already goes to show that "allowing exploits and alternative solutions" has been cut back significantly. There's not even stars that require breaking stuff out, unlike the first game.
One thing is to add small stuff that is kind of "exploity", and another is to be able to take tools outside on every single level and make all puzzles be stupidly easy because of it.
You aren't competing with anyone but yourself. If you want to cheat against yourself, by all means do so. Its your right to choose that option.
A non-standard solution is still a solution, so I see nothing wrong with it. If someone would rather try to break the game instead of playing it the intended way and are having fun while doing so, why not?
This is a Single player game, you are not competing against anyone (unless speed running, which you most definitely is not)
I haven't cheesed anything out of any levels (yet), but i also know how to finish every (afaik) level without doing any puzzles.
There's a code to load old saves, check other posts about it
