Is this game dead... ? after 15 min of trying to play, in all game mode. I dont know what to think.

5 min thats a Joke and crazy in all other games waiting time is less than 30 sek.
in my case it was 15 try evry time i wait about 1 min and nothing. game is dead

Steam charts says around 40 players, but cannot find a match with 16 players after 20 minutes of waiting. The accounts that make up that 40 or so number are probably bots meant to inflate the scores.

They are not lol, there is 3 queues so the players can be split on those or play PvE wich has a different queue too

a. it is your lucky day, and you stack battles - 1 / 10
b. you get 3-4 battles per hour - 3 / 10
c. blank: multiple 20 min searches alternating leagues - 7 out of 10.

Its sad because this is one of the only games that are like this. You get a (cool looking) capital ship and you get to play matches like a shooter game. Most other games you play as a ugly fighter ship and you explore the universe, and occasionally battle other players or most of the time AIs. Not to mention those other games I talk about cost money, some of which cost as much as modern triple A games.

true - ive been thrilled when the game was originally released. I just came back due to the update: Confusing menues, strange economy, too many gamemodes - and quickmatch does nothing.

I've been enjoying this game immensely, with some minor personal pet peeves of no default lateral movement (strafing) since these are space ships not submarines...

But! Yes, the queues can be terrible, and they can take a very long time for no reason since the enemy team would end up being filled up with bots anyways.

This game is truly unique, and it's wasted...

Doesn’t feel dead to me. I just finished my session. I had a lot of games with 80% player 20% bot. Which is nice.

the game isn't dead at all, however there are peak times when most players are on. Usually during non peak hours, i play proving grounds. They are pretty decent when trying to grind xp and credits. Thanksfully often times, the npcs are flying t5 ships (in legendary) so they aren't necessarily always push overs. The dreadnought discord is also very helpful for meeting other players from various tiers. lmk when you are on and i will play with you.

So, I started playing 2 days ago and so far it seems I play only with bots. Not a single live player meet yet. There may be players left, but if I need to log in at specific time to meet anyone then I consider this game dead.
