[SOLVED] Brahma
I just wanted to compile what I'd figured out regarding the Brahma puzzle in Ancient Chaos, since this seems to be pulling form a lot of places.

The tablet at the entrance to this room says

"Accept Brahma's four trials.
The four faces are a means to see the four ages.
Place the correct offering in the correct hand for the correct age.
Then, Yggdrasil's all shall be revealed."

The puzzle can be activated by using the Ancient Batery in the vase-shaped hole at the base of the statue. This causes four daises to appear in front of the four orb-like things on the upper level, and it also brings to the foreground a four-faced head and four arms, with a dais atop the head. Lastly, a picture of an ox appears above the head. The daises in front of the orbs are one-time use and drop a sphere with a symbol on it onto the waiting hand below. The dais atop the head rotates the head, so that a different one of the four faces is showing.

Upon Hand-Scanning, the orbs reference the four ages of the Yuga: Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga, and Kali Yuga.

Four tablets across Eg-Lana match these four ages with four metals. Satya Yuga is gold, Treta Yuga is silver, Dvapara Yuga is copper, and Kali Yuga is steel. These are also the four metals comprising the four faces of the head in the Brahma puzzle.

This now ties in to the colorful metal wheels seen around Eg-Lana. One is easy to find in the Divine Fortress upon collecting the Grapple Claw and exploring the top of the Fortress. A second can be found later in the game, in Takamagahara Shrine (behind the 5 Soul Door in Ancient Chaos, accessed from the Corridor of Blood). There will be two others, but I don't know where they are yet.

Each wheel has a dais, and the two have different symbols in their centers. The DF wheel has a lotus flower in its center, and the TS wheel has a sacred text in its center. Each wheel's dais causes spikes to pop up most times a weight is placed on it. However, when a certain type of metal is at the bottom of the wheel, the spikes don't pop up (the spikes delay until that metal passes, and then pop up when a new metal is there). This metal is gold for the DF wheel, and silver for the TS wheel. This ties the two symbols to metals and hence to ages.

The final piece of this puzzle concerns the Egg of Creation, collected from a mini-boss in Takamagahara Shrine. A tablet in Shrine of the Frost Giants suggests that this golden egg is tied to Brahma and the other creators of mythology. Three tablets (though I suspect that there are two more) tell of Brahma posing the question "What is creation?" to various creator dieties. The three I've found ask this of Chaos, Odin, and Atum.

Now here's the leap. Use the Egg of Creation in front of these statues to make a mystical light leave the statue and head to the Brahma puzzle. Chaos can be found at the top of Heaven's Labyrinth. Using the Egg in front of the statue releases a purple light. Atum can be found in the Dark Lord's Mausoleum. The statue releases a green light. I have not found Odin yet, but the large statue in the long vertical room in Takamagahara Shrine (whose name I cannot remember) releases a red light. If anyone knows where Odin is located or has found any more of these tablets, I'd like to know.

These lights come to inhabit the eyes above the orbs in the Brahma puzzle, and each lit eye shoots a colored laser beam down at the orbs in the Brahma puzzle; by striking an eye, the target of its laser can be changed. Normally, placing a weight on a dais in front of an orb drops a sphere with a face on it onto the waiting arm below. However, when exactly two lights are shining on an orb, a different symbol appears on the sphere that drops (the symbol depending on which two lights are used). In particular, when the purple and red lights are on an orb, the sphere that drops has a lotus flower symbol on it, the same one that appears in the middle of the DF metal wheel.

So the solution seems clear: activate the remaining two eyes, find the remaining two symbols and which ages they go to, and then drop the appropriately-symboled orbs onto the appropriate hand when the appropriate face is showing.

This doesn't use the image of the ox, which changes its number of hoofs (from 4 down to 1) as the various faces are showing. This could simply denote an order: the one-hoof face needs to be dealt with first, and so on. However, a tablet in Immortal Battlefield says "Virtue is measured akin to a number of ox hooves.", and the tablets tying the ages to the metals also each talk about virtue, so something more could be going on here.

Thoughts?

Based on the achievements we can unlock, Brahma's puzzle might unlock the postgame/Hell Temple equivalent.

Even if I'm wrong about that, it's a pretty central figure to the lore this time. He's the knowledge keeping machine of Eg-Lana, and asked Chaos and Odin what "creation" was. So, there's probably a question for each race of children.

For the Odin one, I did the Ymir statue in the right side of Icefire Treetop, triggered a yellow light.

Isn't there Odin statues in the Divine Fortress with the Hugin and Mennin room?
Good call on the creation egg.

There's also another wheel in the Underworld

Thank you. That means there's only one left.

Those Odin statues don't count, I've tried.

I haven't gotten to the Underworld yet. I just reached Nibiru.

I found a sneaky early entrance and it is not a friendly place.

I think I found your entrance (and I don't think it's early, I think it's the intended first entrance). I also found the third ring, which attaches a water pot to bronze and hence Dvapara Yuga (third from left of the four orbs in the brahma puzzle).

I also found the Amenomikanushi tablet down there, which is the Takamagahara Shrine creator.

I also also found the last creator tablet down there, which says that Abzu is the last creator and should have a blue laser.

Purple and green produces the water pot that goes on the third hand.

I never would have found the Ancient Battery... I knew the combo, but I didn't know the room :d

The "Padma Lotus" begets blessing.
But blessings will not grace those for whom "life" is tangeld with "chaos"

Elsewheres I learned that Chaos is purple, so if life is red... that would explain why red+purple make the lotus emblem.

The "Kamandalu Water Pot" is tolerance.
It is the vessel which will tolerate any "battle" than provokes "chaos"

If battle is green, then purple+green is the pot

The Abzu statue for use with the egg is in Ancient Chaos, in the section only accessible through the Corridor of Blood. It's less of a statue though, and more of a section of the wall. It's visible through the glass tube right before Brahma itself.

And Brahma's trial is done.

I don't know how much of this is necessary. In particular, the order might not be fixed, and the faces might not need to be correct.

What I did:

With the steel face forward (rotate three times), and the green and red lights on the fourth orb, put a weight on the fourth dais.

Then, with the copper face forward (rotate three times again), and the green and purple lights on the third orb, put a weight on the third dais.

Then, with the silver face forward (rotate three times), and the yellow and blue lights on the second orb, put a weight on the second dais.

Then, with the gold face forward (rotate three times), and the red and purple lights on the first orb, put a weight on the first dais.

This solves the puzzle, which reveals a map of Eg-Lana that indicates (I'm assuming) the locations of crystal skulls and mantras you have yet to find. There's also an achievement tied to solving this, so that's good too.

VERY helpful as it even shows you on your in-tablet maps. For example, the treasury room in Valhalla apparently contains another crystal skull. Speaking of that, anybody know how to get that chest open?
